Britain is playing a zero sum game. By enticing companies to come to the UK with tax breaks and other concessions, it is undermining the economy of every other country in Europe. Restricted access to the Single Market will be a disaster for Britain
Yet Mrs May has said she is prepared to leave the Single Market if there is no compromise from the EU on Freedom of Movement. Britain getting a better deal than any member of the EU is extremely unlikely, so it looks like we are heading for the so-called Hard Brexit.
